1. Who operates this site

This website is owned and operated by Carp Agricultural Society, a registered Canadian charity and not-for-profit organization, CRA business and charity number 118839505RR0001, of Box 188, Carp, ON K0A 1L0, Canada. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. What this site is for

This site provides information about the Society, the Carp Fair, events at the Carp Fairgrounds, exhibitor competitions, donations and our licensed charitable 50/50 raffle. It is an information and referral site.

This site does not sell raffle tickets. It does not operate a raffle checkout, a cart, a ticket number generator, a random number generator or a draw, and it does not store payment card details. It also has no user accounts: there is nothing to register for here, no login, no member area and no balance held on your behalf.

The raffle is conducted and managed by Carp Agricultural Society under AGCO Lottery Licence #RAF1560186. Online ticket sales, electronic ticket issuance and draw technology are provided through Rafflebox, an AGCO-registered Electronic Raffle Supplier.

3. Acceptable use

  • Use the site lawfully and do not interfere with its operation or security.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems.
  • Do not use our forms to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, or to send bulk or automated submissions.
  • Do not scrape, copy or republish the site's content at scale without our permission.

4. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, layout, design, graphics and code — belongs to Carp Agricultural Society or is used with permission, except where a third party's marks are named. You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction requires our written permission. Names and marks belonging to the AGCO, Rafflebox and other third parties are used to identify those organisations and remain their property.

5. External services

Some things you can do from this site happen on someone else's platform, under that platform's terms and privacy policy:

  • 50/50 raffle tickets — sold by Rafflebox at https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/cas.
  • Event and admission tickets — sold by an external ticket provider.
  • Donations — processed by an external payment or donation provider.

Rafflebox provides the electronic raffle platform used by Carp Agricultural Society. Carp Agricultural Society remains the licensed organization conducting and managing the raffle.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of external sites. Links to them are not endorsements of anything beyond the service we use them for.

6. Raffle purchases

The current raffle is conducted under AGCO Lottery Licence #RAF1560186.

Raffle tickets may only be purchased while the purchaser is physically located in Ontario. Orders for tickets will not be accepted from outside Ontario. Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. Online purchases must be made with a Visa, Mastercard or Visa Debit card carrying an Ontario billing address.

Any purchase of a raffle ticket is governed by the 50/50 Rules of Play and by the terms of the platform on which the purchase is made. Where these website terms and the Rules of Play differ on a matter concerning the raffle, the Rules of Play apply.

Refunds. Raffle ticket sales are final and no refunds are given, as set out in the Rules of Play. Refunds or exchanges for event admission tickets are a matter for the external ticket provider and the published conditions of that event. Donations are not refundable once processed, except where required by law.

7. Estimated jackpot figures

Any pot or jackpot figure displayed on this website before ticket sales close is an estimate and may not reflect the final total in real time. It is clearly labelled as estimated wherever it appears. The actual prize is 50% of total eligible ticket sales for the draw and is determined after sales close. Nothing on this site should be read as a promise of a particular prize amount, and nothing here guarantees any outcome.

8. Accuracy of information

We take care to keep the site accurate, particularly the licence details, dates and rules. Programme details, class lists and event information are provisional until confirmed by the fair committee and may change. If you spot something wrong, please tell us.

9. Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, from reliance on provisional information, or from the acts or omissions of an external platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing limits your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

10. Age and location

The 50/50 raffle is open only to eligible persons aged 18 or older who are physically located in Ontario when purchasing a ticket. A purchaser does not need to be an Ontario resident, but the purchase must take place while the purchaser is in Ontario. Ticket orders are not accepted from outside Ontario, and we do not advertise or offer raffle tickets outside Ontario. Additional eligibility restrictions, including restrictions applicable to persons involved in conducting the draw, are set out in the Rules of Play.

The rest of this website — the Carp Fair programme, exhibitor competitions, events and community information — is general-audience content and is not age restricted.

11. Responsible participation

The raffle is intended as a form of entertainment and charitable fundraising, not as a way to make money. Please participate responsibly and only spend what you can afford.

If gambling is causing concern for you or someone you know, confidential support is available through ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600 or at connexontario.ca. See our Responsible Gambling page for further information and support resources.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
